Neglected but not forgotten

I haven`t picked up my Sarah for quite awhile, but have been spending a little more time with her lately. I am stitching the 'queen' and have decided she was blending into the fabric too much and so I have given her a more starring role by giving her a golden brown crown and I will make her face flesh toned. As for her dress....maybe 2 yellows? Or a yellow and teal? Not sure yet....

Is anyone else still working on her??

Another Sarah Finished

I'm a month late in posting, but I did finish Sarah the first week of December. Please excuse the dip in the alphabet, she is still on a hanger waiting for me to choose an appropriate frame.

Thanks to Jacqueline for introducing all of us to Sarah and making it possible to add this unique sampler to our stitching enjoyment.

Happy Stitching,
Pat

Little Bit o'Progress

Hello all!  I've really enjoyed seeing everyone's Sarah Harris progress.  They are all so lovely.

Last week, I made a little bit more progress on mine.

While it wasn't the whole pattern page I had set for a personal goal, I am pleased that I made at least a little progress.
I added the brown cross, the pink flowers, and the white wheel.

I am so pleased with how it turned out.
Thanks for taking a look at mine!  Any criticisms or suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.  If you want, you can see her summer progress on my Flickr.

I have a question, though, for all of you stitchers here.  I've shopped for an embroidery stand for a while now, and I have been unsure about which to get.  I've had my eye on this one for a while.  I'm curious about what you all use for your projects and if you might have any recommendations.

Thanks,
Virginia (Virginia's Virtues)

Weekend Update

We're having a beautiful day here, after a miserably hot summer. My windows are open and it sounds like fall, I'm enjoying every minute of it! It's been almost 2 months since I posted a progress picture and I wish I had more to show you. But I'm still loving working on Sarah and determined to finish without getting distracted by other wip's.

Get your Sarah's out of the wip pile, you'll be glad you did.
Happy stitching,
Pat

A progress report

I have to admit that I am enjoying Sarah, even though my friends tell me that it isn't "me". I've never been into bright colors, but Sarah may change that! I've only changed a couple colors, partly due to my choice of a darker linen. Let's see some more pictures, or is everyone having a busy summer?
Happy Stitching,
Pat
